A bloody good bash

Who knows what dark deeds and ghastly goings on The Grain Warehouse has witnessed in its long history? What’s certain is that it’s never seen such a high body count as it did the other Friday.

It has also probably never seen such an incredible line-up of skeletons, ghouls, mummies, vampires and other assorted nasties as the ones who turned up for our black and white themed, Tim Burton-esque Halloween Housewarming Party. We think they were our clients, work colleagues, suppliers, friends and family. But we can’t be entirely sure.

The Grain Warehouse also became the crime scene for the murder of a number of perfectly decent dance tracks by some displays of overly enthusiastic, booze-fuelled boogying. On top of some top notch musical entertainment provided by Superstar DJ, our guests were greeted by a fire dancer, treated to cocktails shaken and stirred by a professional mixologist, enjoyed some wicked street food courtesy of Bears Pantry and had a variety of gruesome looking make-up effects applied by a professional make-up artist.

We were totally blown away by the effort and creativity that so many of our brilliant guests put into their costumes. You were epic. How often can the brief to the security doorman be to only let really weird looking people in?

We’d like to thank everyone who helped to make it such an amazing evening. From what we can remember, a bleedin’ good time was had by all! And a big thank you to Ovo (who handled our office refit) for the wonderful moving in gift of a lovely red Raleigh Chopper bike, which was hand delivered covered in lights in a genuinely spooky fashion on the night!
