Feeling like Olympians after the Independent Agency Census

It’s a fine line between sharing good news and being overly self-congratulatory. Like an Olympic gymnast, here’s our attempt to do a few cartwheels on that thin line without falling flat on our faces.

Each year, The Drum and RAR put agencies through our paces to create the Independent Agencies Census which measures turnover, growth, client service, strategic thinking, creativity, value for money.

While some think the independent sector is facing a tough challenge in the wake of Brexit, we’re looking on the brighter side and focusing on the positives we can offer as an independent. And the results of the census show an industry in fine health, which is great news, but it also means that competition for the top spots is tougher than ever.

It’s the performance that counts

The census publishes elite ranking tables for each category to recognize the agencies that have consistently performed at the top of their game in both financial and client ranking fields. After our 94% score at this year’s RAR Awards, we expected a strong result.

And we’re proud to say we got it. Our hard work paid off as we claimed fifth spot in the Elite Ranking (1-25 staff) category.

Next year, we’re going up a weight to the 26-50 staff categories, and are determined to stay in shape. Hopefully we’ll do even better and improve our PB.
