We’re in Campaign’s Top 50 Best Places to Work
How do we know if we’re doing a good job for our people? That’s a question we continually ask ourselves as we develop here at Born + Raised.
Although we welcome and encourage regular feedback, last year we decided to put in place a staff survey to see whether we’re delivering on what we say. We’ve just completed our second one and the results are looking good.
Does this make us good in agency world though? How does the Born + Raised experience measure up against other agencies and our team expectations?
We place huge importance on the ‘fit’ of prospective employees during recruitment, and once in post, we’re keen to ensure that everyone is happy, healthy, involved and invested in where we want to go. We genuinely want our team to love working here.
Are we any good at that?
The chance to assess this came in the form of Campaign’s Best Companies to Work For programme created by Campaign Magazine, Haymarket Media Group Limited and Best Companies Group. Campaign is a global magazine covering advertising, media, marketing and commercial creativity and its programme is designed to recognise outstanding places of employment in the UK (that’s us).
The survey required information from us an employer on benefits and policies and also individually from the team on engagement and satisfaction, so it was a real test of whether we deliver what we say!
Thankfully, we seem to be doing a pretty good job and are hugely proud to say we have made the top 50 in the survey ranking.
Why is this important?
We want people to choose to work here, not only because of the work we do and the clients we have, but also because of the experience, the sense of team, and the fun and shared enthusiasm.
We work hard to try to continually develop and improve our staff experience and have a wellbeing and benefits package that hopefully helps to look after our team in many ways but we’re always keen to hear about new ideas.
A great experience for our staff will impact on our clients and others we deal with too, so it’s great from a business point of view as well.
It’s a significant achievement for us to be publicly lauded in this way and a real boost to our efforts.
We’ll be assessing the results of the survey in detail and seeing what we can do to continue to improve. We’ve also taken this as on opportunity to launch the new culture page on our website. Check it out.
