Diana Ross, Creative Artworker at Born and Raised

Diana has been working at Born + Raised for three years. Previously, she freelanced as a graphic designer in London and Sheffield, with a brief period of architectural illustration.

She can be found picking up all types of finished creative design concepts from designers, reworking designs to create entirely new documents in the preparation for print or web, fixing colours, typography and consistencies. Also developing, polishing and finishing designs. And making sure designs are on-brand and finished for public viewing. She creates artwork across a variety of platforms from advertising, corporate literature, exhibition stands and direct mail, from the smallest leaflet to a building wrap.

I love being around such a creative, friendly supportive team and environment, getting involved in the fun activities that we do alongside our work (like the alphabet letters), which really inspires creative thinking into even the smallest of jobs. I like the challenge of artworking for the unusual.

Diana traditionally trained as a graphic designer here in Sheffield. She joined the Manpower Services Commission as a junior designer for a year, before making the move to London, where she freelanced as a graphic designer and later for a brief period as an architectural illustrator. She moved back to Sheffield in 1996, where she freelanced, before starting as a designer at Sheffield Hallam University until joining Born + Raised (formerly We Are) in August 2015.

Diana has cake decorating qualifications and loves designing and creating the occasional show stopper (when she gets the time), as well as going to the gym, at least 4 times a week.

Her two words combo: Mock-up + Workout.
