When you’re at the top of your game and sector, where do you go from there?
How we helped to keep a number one bank two steps ahead.
When you’re at the top of your game and sector, where do you go from there? When our clients HSBC asked us to handle their presence at SIBOS we realised that it’s about reminding everyone of those class-leading strengths and capabilities that put you there in the first place.
SIBOS is a once-a-year opportunity to connect with over 8,000 of the world’s top business leaders, decision makers and topic experts. It’s the world’s premier financial services event, so it was vital that HSBC hit exactly the right note.
Hitting big hitters with a big message
We knew that HSBC are perfectly positioned to provide a unique angle on the world. Their combination of global insight and local knowledge, delivered almost anywhere across the world is a compelling offer for businesses. So we gave them a ‘change your perspective’ theme, which highlighted HSBC’s abilities to act as a trusted partner who can provide a real value to businesses who are looking to increase their business overseas.
We paired this with photography which played around with angles and perspective to illustrate the concept of looking at things from a different point of view. When coupled with engaging key messages it created an inspirational feel around HSBC’s presence at the four-day event.
Playing it out on a big canvas
We ran the theme across their event, and wove it into an inspiring 20 minute film which brought scale, movement and interest to the stand via a huge video wall and highlighted their work in China, Saudi Arabia and the ASEAN areas and their sustainable finance credentials.
Online briefings for stand personnel
To help HSBC staff make the right impression, we also built a training portal for them to access in the lead-up to the event to ensure they could hit the ground running on all the hot financial topics as soon as they arrived at SIBOS.
Post event statistics showed audience satisfaction improved greatly compared to previous years.
